The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Overview
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is CD Projekt Red's magnum opus - an open-world action RPG that sets the gold standard for storytelling in video games. You play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter searching for his adoptive daughter Ciri while navigating a war-torn world.
What I Loved
- The storytelling is unmatched - every side quest feels like it could be its own game
- Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine DLCs are masterpieces in their own right
- The world feels alive with consequences to your choices
- Gwent. Just Gwent.
- The soundtrack perfectly captures every moment
What Could Be Better
- Combat can feel repetitive at times
- Inventory management is a bit clunky
Final Thoughts
This game ruined other RPGs for me. The depth of the world, the complexity of characters, and the weight of your decisions create an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll. If you haven't played it, you owe it to yourself.
